I simply cannot praise Great Expectations College Prep enough! My daughter is a great student but falls a little short in the standardized test taking department. We turned to GE College Prep to help her prepare for the ACT. Not only did she reach her target score, she exceeded it and was accepted into her first choice University with a faculty scholarship. Everyone at GE has been exceptional in their service from the tutors to the administrative staff. If my daughter needed help with a paper for school instead of ACT prep, easy to pivot to that. GE is also helping my 8th grader prep for the ISEE. While she may not even take it this year, the prep has been invaluable as it is strengthening all her academic skills while prepping her for future standardized tests. We have used all levels of their tutors - classic, founder's circle and founder. All have been EXCEPTIONAL. Worth every penny. Thank you GE

I had Jeannie as a tutor, and she was great! With her help, my ACT score when up 6 points. She tailored our sessions to spend the perfect amount of time on both review and practice, and she was super reasonable with how much homework/practice I had to do on my own time. Her explanations were always very concise, and she would give me testing strategies that were fitting to my own strengths/weaknesses. I struggled with timing on the reading section, and she helped me plan the order of the passages and which ones I should skim to save the most amount of time. My reading score improved by 12 points! Tutoring Packages

Tutoring packages can be used for one-on-one sessions with test prep tutors and/or academic tutors. In-person sessions are 1.5-2 hours long, and virtual sessions are typically 1-1.5 hours long (unless otherwise agreed upon).

We offer four tiers of tutors: Classic, Classic+, Founder’s Circle, and Founder, and packages are offered in 20-, 40-, 60-, 80-, and 100-hour increments.

Packages used for academic tutoring come with any supplementary books or materials that your tutor deems necessary. Test prep packages include all necessary textbooks and materials (including a GE strategy guide, official study guide, silent stopwatch, binders of additional exams, and a Quizlet set of flashcards for SAT/ACT review). All test prep packages also include a certain number of free proctored exams (the exact number depends on the package chosen), which we strongly encourage students to take as often as possible.

Test Prep students — don't know how many hours you want?

Our Test Prep Diagnostics allow you to take our proctored exams (SAT and/or ACT) and then meet for 1.5 hours with a tutor to break down the results. Additionally, once we know how well you are scoring to start and how well you WANT to score, it gives us a better sense of how much help is needed and in what areas.
