Sajel has over nine years of tutoring experience in a variety of academic subjects, in addition to her background in essay editing and college counseling. Sajel first gained interest in tutoring while assisting both her younger brother and older sister with homework throughout middle school and quickly jumped at the opportunity to become a peer tutor in high school.
With a dual passion for the arts and sciences, Sajel used her experience at a prestigious, audition-based arts magnet high school to gain admission to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she went on to tutor and edit essays to support herself throughout college.
Sajel is especially successful at connecting with students who often find themselves stuck with their homework assignments, navigating procrastination, unhelpful study habits, and writer's block. She is passionate about helping students improve their organizational skills, study skills, and writing proficiency in order to more effectively manage coursework. Sajel takes a nuanced and bespoke approach to tutoring, adapting curriculum and her teaching strategies to each individual.
