In her eight years as a college counselor, Jenny has helped high school students gracefully navigate the college application process, from compiling their college lists to crafting essays that exemplify their excellence. Jenny’s passion for college counseling stems from her past experiences in education. After graduating from Amherst College, Jenny taught creative writing and creative technology classes at a summer camp, which was a wonderful opportunity to merge her interests in education, English, and computer science. Inspired by the impact she could make as an educator, Jenny then took a teaching fellowship at a top independent school in London, England, where she split her time between teaching computer science and English classes and counseling students on applying to American universities. She especially enjoyed her time as a college counselor, when she could work one-on-one with students to realize their strengths, pursue their passions, and complete their college applications. So, after finishing the fellowship, Jenny decided to focus her time and energy on college counseling.
Today, Jenny works with students from all over the world, helping them get into their dream universities, from UCs to liberal arts colleges and international universities. She encourages her students to explore varied academic interests, particularly subjects related to creativity, humanities, and STEM. As a college counselor, Jenny knows that the college application process can be scary, and her main mission is to help students feel excited about and empowered throughout their college application journey.
